Taniwha Friday

Good afternoon,

This morning kicked off with, well, photos...

After morning tea we drew our own Taniwha by breaking it up into common shapes - like, star with a big M, draw a big C...

...and then viewed each other's work...

As seen on New Zealand Folk Song...

One day a taniwha
Went swimming in the moana
He whispered in my taringa
"Won't you come along with me
There such a lot to see
Underneath the deep blue sea."

I said "Oh, no, no, no!
You'd better go, go, go,
Although I know we could be friends.
My Mama's waiting for me
Underneath the kowhai tree
Taniwha, haere ra!"
We will revisit this next week.

Have a great weekend,

Mr Grant

Reading for Thursday

Good evening,

Sorry for the delay in today's post - the internet is down at school, so I'm plugging away here at home. 'Tis very much a reading update this evening, first with Green Group's latest photo book production Kitty Cat Plays Inside.

At the end of our reading session today, White Group read and then sung about a Wobbly Tooth.

And a good time was had by all.

CU spick and span in the morning, all ready for our school photos.

The Fruits of the Holy Spirit Colour In Page for Downloading

After R.E. we shared each others baby photos and milestone sheet milestones.

I hope to have the children's mile stone sheets and photos up on the wall by tomorrow morning. Check 'em out!

Bye for now,

Mr Grant

Mrs O'Neill's Monday

Good afternoon,

Mrs O'Neill was in the room today while I took many, many, many running records (40 of the blessed things, the results thereof are very encouraging!)...and she had a great day with a bit of reading...

...some R.E....

...and finishing the day with another crack at Mahunga Pakihiwi Puke Hope Waewae...

And a great time was had by all.

Pray for a fine day tomorrow so that we can have our long awaited for Athletics day. Please bring...

  • A house colour tee shirt

  • Some sunscreen

  • A hat

  • and P.E. gear, which you'd be wearing anyway, seeing as tomorrow's Tuesday

Oh, and I forgot to mention in the newsletter that Friday is School Photo Day.

CU in the morning,

Mr Grant
