Last Day Thursday

Good evening,

First up Thank You for your generous gift [vouchers] this morning. I was really surprised and tickled pink! Thank you for your generosity, the gifts have been very, very well received! :-)

On to our last day. Not that much to report really.

We went off to Mass in the hall...

...then came back, packed up and said, well, goodbye.

Thanks for the great year one and all, have a fantastic Christmas and New Year holiday, and God bless,

Mr Grant

Last Full Day Wednesday

Good afternoon,

It's been a funny old day. Bit of Maths, bit of Writing, bit of reading and singing...

...a touch of art...

...and then we watched the Ballad of Little Joe, courtesy of Vegie Tales.

And a good time was had by all.

Tomorrow of course is our last [half] day. Pick up is at 12:30. In case I don't get to you in the morning, or at lunchtime, thank you for your support over the year, your children are lovely and it's been a lot of fun teaching them.

God bless,

Mr Grant

Tuesday Was Wheely Wheely Fun!

Good afternoon,

And a lovely afternoon it is too.

This morning, after a touch of maths, where some children were prevented from seeing, and had to follow directions to go through, well, the other children...

...and then went outside to play on our wheels.

And a good time was had by all. And only one accident!

The rest of the day was spent with Christmas craft...and free time.

Tomorrow's our last full day of the year.

CU tomorrow,

Mr Grant

Mufti Day Tuesday

Good evening,

In case you missed the announcement at Prize Giving tonight (which went really well from our perspective), it's mufti day tomorrow. Come in your favourite duds.

CU in the morning,

Mr Grant

Monday Wondering

Good afternoon,

Well, today was really only about four things. Walking, waiting, walking and making.

We walked to Cashmere High to practice for tonight...

...waited...

...and walked back.

Then Room 2 went off to Room 11 for some Christmas making, while Room 12 came to Room 2 for their shot at making Christmas cards, with the assistance of Room 3.

Quick game of tag outside, and that was our day.

Tonight
  • Arrive at 6:15 p.m. in Full Uniform

  • Kapa Haka children arrive already changed into their Kapa Haka outfits

  • Starts at 6:30

  • Ends, as near as I can figure, at about 8 ish

Tomorrow is Wheels Day. Bring something to ride on that has wheels tomorrow for Room 2's slot at about 9:50.

CU tonight,

Mr Grant

Fun Day Forgetfullness

Good afternoon,

I forgot to send this weeks OLA newsletter home. Sorry. Here it is, paper copy will be handed out on Monday.

Basically, Prize Giving starts at 6:30 p.m., children to be seated by 6:15, Kapa Haka to be at Cashmere Auditorium by 6:00.

And on to earlier in the day. Earlier in the day...

...repeated with each of five groups.

After lunch we had a lolly scramble...

...and then we ate them, singing...

And a good time was had by all.

Have a great weekend,

Mr Grant

Last Reading Thursday

Good afternoon,

This morning, after maths, where the children hopped outside to direct each other through the playground using compass directions...

...Room 2 Readers finished up their reading lessons thusly...

(It's funny what the human ear can block out that the digital microphone can not. Man the rest of the Room 2 Readers were noisy...)

...and said thanks.

After lunch Room 2 was veritably inundated with children to make, and help make Christmas cards...

...while Room 2 proper were in Room 12 making their own Chritsmas bookmarks.

Tomorrow is the J Team Fun Day. Please send the children to school in their P.E. gear.
