Play Ball Tuesday

Good afternoon,

We swam...

...we played ball...

...and we sang...

And Mary said, "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour".

Luke 1: 46-47

Tuesday Just Lept By!

Good afternoon,

After a spot of reading...

...and singing...

(man, we can pack 'em in!)

Room 2 popped outside for, well, a game of leap frog!

All part of the Moving in Context, unit from The Curriculum in Action series.

And a good time was had by all!

Sing-a-long Tuesday

Good afternoon,

After lunch we kicked straight into J Team singing. The entire J Team packed into Room 2...

...and they sounded great!

Then onto P.E.. Or specifically, Moving in Context, one of the The Curriculum in Action series from the Ministry.

So...move like something in the sea...

...then cross your elbows on your partner's knees...

...finishing with Ring-a-ring-a-rosie, with an added extra.

CU in the morning,

Mr Grant

Oh yes, and if anyone has seen Gabriella's photos from last week, please let us know.

And a great time was had by all.

Thank you to the many parents who were able to make it down.

Back to School Tuesday

Good afternoon,

And welcome back to school.

We kicked off today with a visit from Catherine, the young lass who went over to central Asia to spread the Gospel. She showed us some great pictures of the people she met, and how to dance like the locals.

In the afternoon the whole J Team popped out to practice to sprints in year groups...and staying in their lanes!

Then it was turn to run as a class.

And a good time was had by all!

Outdoorsy Tuesday

Good afternoon,

And what a lovely afternoon it has been.

We've actually spent a larger-than-average percentage of the day outside.

First for fitness...

...then for P.E.

(I was taking Rooms 11 and 8 for shotput, so...I'm sure Room 2 their athletics activities!)

Though we did spend some time inside this afternoon - J Team Singing.

Watch out those Two Legged Mice!

Fun Day Tuesday

Good afternoon,

We had a jolly day here at school today, topped up with J Team singing...

Jelly and Custard
Covered in Mustard
Pizza Three Days old.
Green delli ham
With blackberry jam
Stuck to the sides of my bowl.
I get their jelly on toast
And last week's roast
With a slimy ice cream cone.
All mixed in and
Slopped in a tin
I think I'll find my bone!
...and P.E.

Hope that shake didn't startle anyone...blimmin thing, now I have to reset the board - the data projector has been shaken out of alignment!

Greedy Cat Tuesday

Good afternoon,

This morning, Red Reading Group (yes, all two of them!) shared a well known favourite, Greedy Cat.

Apparently, it's based on a true story!

Later on, Room 2 popped outside for some P.E. Discuss and running.

I was busy teaching Rooms 11 and 8 the finer points of shotput.

And a good time was had by all.

Bye for now,

Mr Grant

Outdoor Tuesday

Good afternoon,

We spent a fair bit of today outside.

First for fitness...

...and then for P.E....

Not to say that we didn't do some of our learning inside. Red Reading Group even shared their text for this morning, T Shirts.

Which reminds me, this was Blue Group's text for today. Te Tio Bay. Blue Group, read along at home.

Bye for now,

Hockey Tuesday

Good afternoon,

Thankfully the rain drops held off this afternoon so's we could get out for some hockey.

First some rudimentary skills...

...then a game. Or bash and run around the field. Or whatever you'd call it.

And a good time was had by all!

(I did try to take some shots during reading this morning, but the flash wouldn't charge. Ah well. Room 2's getting another camera in the next couple of days, we'll see how we go then!)

Bye for now,

Mr Grant
