Good afternoon,

This afternoon we identified one reason we live on Earth and not another planet on the Solar System.

To figure this out, we went outside and created a toilet paper solar system.

To consolidate this learning we then popped back inside to the interactive whiteboard.

Prior to this we discussed that God loves us no matter what we do...

...subsequent to some daily fitness.

Have a blessed, relaxing and safe weekend,

Mr Grant

Cut and Paste Wednesday

Good afternoon,

Another busy day was had here at school.

A bit of fitness...

...as well as all the other usual stuff.

A couple of the children will have brought home a couple of solar system sheets to finish at home this evening. They are to cut out along the dotted lines, and paste the planets in order across four pages in their topic books. Jupiter and Saturn will need a page each. (I could have explained exactly what I was after a touch more precisely!)

Bye for now,

Mr Grant

P.E. Tuesday

Good Afternoon,

This afternoon saw our first Small Ball Skills lesson.

Which went quite well, I think.

Earlier in the day the Room 2 Readers went next door to Room 1 for a bit of Jump Jam...

...before being entertained by Blue Reading Group who shared No No! with us.

The school has had delivered a number three litre bags full of fresh drinking water. If any of you are still waiting for your water to be reconnected, please let the school know. We would love to help.

Bye for now,

Mr Grant

Back to Work Monday

Good afternoon,

And welcome back. Well, to some, anyway.

This morning kicked off with another session on the laptops...

Next week, they're on their own!

(That is, one of three groups will be writing on the netbooks independently. I'm hoping...)

Then we had some reading...

...and some R.E. We were discussing what was precious to us...

...and what is precious to God - so much so that He was His greatest gift to us.

We finished the day with ordering the Solar System.

Here are the cards if you want to try it yourself at home.

Don't forget that tomorrow is our first P.E. Tuesday. Sports gear all day.

Bye for now,

Mr Grant
