As advertised yesterday, we did indeed have a fairly laid back day today.

Some kinesthetic exercises...

...and a bit of The Gruffalo along with some of Room 1 and 11.


Its been good to be back at school, and I'm looking forward to the return of our maths and reading routines.

And welcome back. We were all fine and dandy back here in Room 2.

OLA Parents Wiki

Good evening,

Jo Earl has set up a Wiki for the OLA School Community.

And here it is. http://olaparents.wikispaces.com/Making+Connections They are another way to keep in touch with what's going on at school, but more importantly, its a way for parents to get in touch with each other. Short of dishing out everybody's phone number. Which we won't do.

Well, back to thinking what to do for the rest of the week...

School's On On Thursday

Good afternoon,

We have had our first staff meeting after the 'quake, and, yep, school's back this Thursday. The toilets flush, but we're still waiting for the all clear on the drinking water. So...please send the children to school with bottles of boiled water.

And Room 2...please remind me to remind you to take home your water bottles each day!

No interchange on Thursday, we'll all be staying together, but Friday looks like it'll be fairly standard (possibly without assembly...).
